Period Equity in the Community: Fighting Period Poverty with Period Positivity

Myoni’s Vision for Menstrual Equity and Public Health

Period equity is a public health right. When community spaces lack the infrastructure or literacy to support menstrual health, they exclude people from participating fully in public life. Myoni partners with community organisations to fight period poverty.

How Myoni Facilitates Change:

We proactively align community institutions with modern health standards through Hormonal Literacy Initiatives. Our programs are designed to be inclusive of all life stages, from menarche to menopause.

  • Sustainable Integration: We provide premium reusables for community members, paired with workshops and tailored information that ensure these products are used safely and effectively for years to come.

  • Wellbeing Initiatives: Our programs foster collective wellbeing by normalising the conversation around reproductive health, reducing the stigma and shame of period poverty. While empowering menstruators to increase their health literacy and better understand their cycle.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Myoni works with community organisations, charities and leaders to develop structural support systems that reflect the needs of their specific demographics, reducing the prevalence of period poverty.

The Goal: To create a community where every individual has the products, the knowledge, and the dignity to move through the world with confidence as a cyclical being.
